The site is slow or will not load
Updated August 6, 2026
Reload the page first. If that does not fix it, turn off page translation and writing extensions, then try another browser or another network, because school Wi-Fi often blocks part of the site.
Try this first
- Reload the page. We update the site most days, and a tab that has been open for a long time can still be running the old files.
- If the page loads as plain text with no layout or styling, that is the same problem. Reload it.
- Open a private or incognito window and go to the site there. Most extensions are switched off in one, so if the page works there, an extension is the cause.
- Try a different browser, for example Safari if you normally use Chrome.
- Try a different network, such as mobile data on your phone instead of school Wi-Fi.
Work through these in order and stop at the first one that helps. Knowing which step fixed it tells us where the problem is.
Extensions and page translation
The most common cause of a page crashing part way through is a browser extension rewriting it while it runs. Page translation (Google Translate, Bing Translator) and writing helpers (Grammarly, LanguageTool) are the ones we see most. They move text around behind the scenes, and the page cannot survive it.
Turn off translation for revisiondojo.com and pause writing extensions on the site. RevisionDojo has its own languages built in, so set the language in your settings rather than asking the browser to translate the page.
If you opened RevisionDojo from a link inside another app, such as Instagram or Facebook, you are in the built-in browser of that app. Those browsers add their own code to every page and are not a reliable place to study. Use the menu in the corner to open the page in Safari or Chrome.
Change my languageSchool and office networks
School, university and office networks filter what they let through. When the filter blocks one of the services we rely on, a single part of RevisionDojo fails while the rest of the site looks fine.
Signing in and search break most often this way. Signing in with Google, Apple or Microsoft never comes back, or you are signed out again soon after getting in. Search shows an error where the results should be instead of finding anything.
Load the same page on mobile data. If it works there, the network is the problem and not your account. Ask whoever runs the network to allow RevisionDojo, and tell them which part of the site fails, because the block is usually on one service rather than on the whole site.
Tell us what happened
When a page crashes you get a screen headed Something went wrong, with a Try again or Reload page button. Most of those screens also carry a short form under Help us fix this, and it comes straight to us, so it is the fastest way to report a crash. If an Error ID is shown under the buttons, copy it first. It lets us find the exact failure in our logs.
If that screen has no form, or you never reach it at all, message us instead and include:
- The full address of the page that failed.
- What you were doing, and what you saw instead.
- The Error ID, if a screen showed one.
- Your browser and device, for example Chrome on a Windows laptop.
- Whether a private window or a different network made any difference.
Use the Contact support button at the bottom of this page. We cannot see your screen, so the more of that list you send, the faster we can find the fault.
