A video will not play

Reload the page first

When you are signed in, a video plays through a signed link that lasts about ten minutes and renews itself while you watch. A tab that went offline, or sat asleep for a while, can miss that renewal, and the player stops. Loading the page again issues a new link.

1. Reload the page.
2. If the player still does not start, close the video and open it again.
3. Try one other browser, so you can tell a browser problem apart from a network one.

Opening more than five videos in about fifteen seconds shows a short security check instead of the player. Complete it and the video opens.

School networks and blocking extensions

Videos stream from Cloudflare Stream, so your browser has to reach cloudflarestream.com. School Wi-Fi, office networks, VPNs and content-blocking extensions are the usual reason the player stays black or never appears, while the rest of the site works normally.

1. Open the same video on mobile data or another network.
2. Turn off ad-blocking and privacy extensions for RevisionDojo, then reload.
3. On a school network, ask your IT team to allow cloudflarestream.com.

If the video plays on one network and not the other, the block sits on that network and we cannot lift it from our side. If it fails on every network and in more than one browser, use the Contact support button at the bottom of this page and send us the link to the video.

It plays, then stops after a few seconds

Video solutions on a question play about five seconds without Pro, including the ones that are free to watch elsewhere on the site. After that a card titled Watch the rest of this video with Pro replaces the player, and you cannot skip forward past that point. That is the paywall, not a fault, so reloading will not change it.

In a topic's Videos tab, videos carrying the Free badge play in full for everyone. The rest need Pro for that subject, and they show Watch this video with Pro in place of the player.
