IB English B is a Group 2 subject in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). It explores language acquisition through five prescribed themes: identities, experiences, human ingenuity, social organization, and sharing the planet, with a strong focus on developing receptive, productive, and interactive communication skills in English as a second language.
The course is available at Standard Level (SL), 150 teaching hours and Higher Level (HL), 240 teaching hours, with first assessment in 2025.
