IB English A Literature is a Group 1 subject in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). It explores literary texts from diverse cultures, genres, and time periods, with a strong focus on critical analysis, interpretation, and understanding of how literature reflects and shapes human experience through themes, cultural contexts, and global issues.
The course is available at Standard Level (SL, 150 teaching hours) and Higher Level (HL, 240 teaching hours), with first assessment in 2021.
