A free account never expires: you get 10 energy a week, 3 notes, 3 lessons and 5 flashcard decks a week, 3 essay markings a month, and 10 question walkthroughs in total.

What a free account includes

Signing up does not need a card. Every free account gets these allowances:

10 energy each week
3 notes, 3 lessons and 5 flashcard decks each week
3 essay markings each month in Essay Marker
3 Teach Jojo sessions each month
Up to 5 submissions each day to the IB Coursework Grader
10 question walkthroughs in total
1,000 AI checker words in total

The question bank and the past papers are free to browse and to write answers in. Only marking an answer costs energy.

Walkthroughs and AI checker words are lifetime totals, not weekly or monthly ones. Once you have opened 10 walkthroughs or scanned 1,000 words, they do not come back on the free plan.

How energy works

Energy is what you spend once a weekly allowance runs out. The counter in the top bar shows what you have left and when it resets.

Unlocking a note, a lesson or a flashcard deck costs 3 energy. The unlock is permanent for that topic, so you never pay for the same topic twice.
Chatting with Jojo costs 1 energy per 15 minutes, not per message. The first message charges 1 energy, everything you send in the next 15 minutes is free, and the 15 minutes restarts each time you send a message. Starting a new chat starts a new session.
Grade answer on a question bank question costs 1 energy.
Sending coursework to the IB Coursework Grader costs 5 energy for a draft and 10 energy for work you have finished writing.

The 5 a day coursework limit is a ceiling, not an allowance. Because each grading also costs energy, 10 energy a week is what really limits you: at most two drafts a week, or one finished piece, and only if you spend no energy on anything else. Free accounts get the mini report; the full report needs Pro.

The free plan does not expire

Nothing counts down and nothing switches off. The free plan is the free plan: use it for as long as you want, and you are only charged if you choose a paid plan and pay for it.

Paid plans lift most of these limits. Plus removes the caps on energy, notes, lessons and flashcards. Pro removes those and the caps on essay marking, walkthroughs and Teach Jojo as well. Prices already include the discount that is running now.
