My payment failed. What happens now?
Updated August 6, 2026
Your paid features stop as soon as the payment fails, and there is no grace period. Update your card in Settings → Account → Subscription & Billing, or subscribe again from the pricing page.
What happens to your access
The moment a payment fails, your plan stops counting as active and you go back to the free plan limits. There is no grace period. Your account stays open and your saved work stays with it.
The app does not show a payment warning. Your plan stops appearing under Subscription & Billing, which is usually the first thing people notice.
Get your access back
- Open Settings, then the Account tab.
- Scroll to Subscription & Billing.
- Choose Open Billing and update your card details.
If no plan is listed there any more, your subscription has ended. Pick a plan again from the pricing page to get your access back.
Open my billing settingsSee plans and subscribe againIf you subscribed in the iPhone app
Subscriptions bought inside the iPhone app are billed by Apple, not by us, so a failed payment is handled by Apple. Update your payment method in the App Store. We cannot change your card details for those subscriptions.
- On your iPhone, open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top, then Payment & Shipping.
- Update the card, then check Subscriptions for RevisionDojo.
If you were charged and still lost access
This needs a person to look at your payment, so message us with the email address you sign in with and the date of the charge. Use the Contact support button at the bottom of this page.
