How do I join my teacher's class?
Updated August 6, 2026
Open the invite link your teacher sent you, sign in or create an account, then choose Join classroom. An email invite only works for the address it was sent to.
Open your invite
Your teacher can invite you in two ways. An email invite is sent to one address and is meant for you alone. A shared invite link can be given to the whole class, and everyone who uses it joins as a student. Both open the same page, with the name of the class at the top.
- Open the invite link.
- Choose Log in if you already have a RevisionDojo account, or Sign up to create one.
- Back on the invite page, choose Join classroom.
A new account goes through account setup first and is then brought back to the invite page. If you already had an account on the address your teacher used, you may be in the class already: the page says you are a member and takes you to the classroom.

Under the Join classroom button, the page shows which account you are joining as. If that is not the address the invite arrived at, choose Use a different account. That signs you out and takes you to the sign-in page, so sign in with the invited address and open the link again. If you no longer use that address, ask your teacher to send a new invite to the one you do use.
A shared invite link behaves differently. It is not tied to one address, so it does not have to be opened on a particular account, and it always joins you as a student. It still only works if your account is already on your school's Classrooms Pro licence. An email invite is what puts a brand new account on that licence, which is why a shared link can fail where an email invite works.
If the invite does not work
There is no class code to type in anywhere on RevisionDojo. Joining always happens by opening a link, so if you were given a code, ask your teacher for the invite link. Open the link your teacher sent rather than typing it out, since one missing character makes it invalid.
What the page tells you, and what to do about it:
- This invite link has already been used. Each email invite works once. Ask your teacher for a new one.
- 404 Page Not Found. The link is incomplete, or your teacher has switched the shared link off. Ask for a fresh link.
- This classroom is not currently accepting new students. The class needs a Classrooms Pro licence before students can join. Your teacher or your school has to arrange that.
- You don't have an active Classrooms Pro licence. This one comes up on a shared invite link, when your account is not on your school's licence yet. If your school gave you a school email address, sign in with that account instead. Otherwise ask your teacher to add you.
If the link is the one your teacher sent, you are signed in with the invited address, and it still fails, use the Contact support button at the bottom of this page and include the link.
Classes live on the website
Classrooms and the work your teacher sets are not in the RevisionDojo app. Open the invite link in a web browser, on a phone or on a computer, and use the website for anything class related.
