The client, Mr. Lameck, is the student council coordinator at my school; he is responsible for overseeing all student council and club leadership elections. He usually runs the elections using the old tedious system of paper ballots. Consequently, the manual system sometimes raises complaints about the validity and transparency of the election results and is very time-consuming considering the school’s large population and the many student leadership posts available in the school. During a consultation meeting with the client (Appendix C), he explained that the current manual voting system using paper ballots is time-consuming, inefficient, and prone to errors. Counting votes manually often leads to mistakes, and there have been past cases of duplicate voting due to lack of a proper authentication system. Additionally, Mr. Lameck highlighted that handling candidate applications is a major challenge since the process is manual. He currently creates paper forms, collects applications, and evaluates them manually, which consumes significant time and increases chances of bias or oversight. He expressed the need for a centralized, secure, and transparent digital voting system that can seamlessly handle both candidate application and voting. Rationale for the proposed solution

My client is personal coach , he manages a large number of trainees with different fitness goal , mainly focused on whether losing weight or gaining muscle. The client told me that he creates daily workout schedules and meals plan for each trainee based on their physical situation , and the fitness goal , and availability. Trainees should follow these plans to achieve their goals , but current system of communication everyday and tracking is manual and inefficient. Each trainees needs to provide basic personal details such as height, weight, daily available training time , and the fitness goal. When the trainees subscribe with the coach, the coach then make meetings with trainee and then creates personalized schedules and dietary instructions accordingly. However , with an increase in number of trainees, it becoming more difficult for the coach to track individual progress, ensure compliance with the meal plans, and monitor results effectively. To solve this , the client it looking for a digital solution ( Trainee Tracker )that will create customized workout and meal schedules for each trainee based on the information they enters, and track their meals from the coach by uploading photos of what they eat daily. This app will help the coach better organize trainee data, monitor compliance, and deliver high quality service.

Meet Maurice, a dedicated businessman who runs a ride hailing business. His daily tasks include managing multiple vehicles used by different drivers and tracking down their daily performance in terms of meeting the daily payment target required from the drivers. The current system for managing the fleet is inefficient as it involves manually recording the payments, finances, and vehicle information in a book then at the end of the month he uses Microsoft Excel to try and garner insights from the data on how his business is doing however, he is not very conversant with excel formulas which makes him really spend a lot of time gathering business insights. This method is error-prone, lacks centralized access and time-consuming. This makes it difficult for Maurice to efficiently track driver performance, vehicle maintenance and daily payments made by the drivers. Being a Junior Software Developer, Maurice approached me via Linked In, seeking for a solution (See Appendix A.1) . We then arranged for an online interview with Maurice via zoom (See Appendix A.2). Through the interview with him I got to learn that he also experiences frequent delays when reconciling payments, tracking which driver is assigned to which car and updating financial records. Additionally, he mentioned past incidences where he had quarrels with his drivers over claimed payments that could not be accounted for, which led to drivers not being able to pay the actual money that they owed him (See Appendix B ). With this he expressed the need for a better way to monitor drivers’ performance, see how much each driver has paid over time ,and to view this data in a clean, organized format that helps him in making informed decisions
