Why can't I see notes, flashcards or past papers for my subject?

Hidden and locked are not the same thing

Work out which one you are looking at before you do anything else. The two have different causes and different fixes.

• Hidden: the tab is not in the row at all, and there is no card for it on the subject's main page either. That subject has no content of that type yet.
• Locked: the tab is there and opens, but something inside it shows an upgrade prompt or costs energy. That is your plan or your weekly allowance, not missing content.

Pro is the plan that opens the premium cheatsheets, predicted papers, IA and EE guides, and coursework exemplars. Plus does not include those.

Where the tabs are, and where they are not

The subject's main page has no tab row on it. It shows one card per resource the subject has, and the tab row appears once you open one of those resources. The cards are the fuller list, so check them before you decide something is missing.

• When your window is narrow, the tabs that do not fit move into the three dots button at the right end of the row. Open it to see the rest.
• On a phone the tab row becomes a dropdown. Tap it to see every tab for that subject.
• The subject tab row appears only when you are signed in. Signed out, you get the cards and no tabs.
• On subjects that have a full textbook, that tab is calledTextbook rather than Notes. It is the same tab.
• Typing the address by hand does not help. Several of those pages return a not-found page when the subject has no content for them.

Empty topics and HL topics

Two things make content look missing when the subject itself is fine.

A topic page has its own tabs, and they are built from that topic alone. A subject can have plenty of notes while one topic has none, so Notes is missing on that topic and present on the others. Open the subject page to see everything the subject has.

If your level for a subject is set to SL, HL topics stay in the list but are greyed out and will not open. Change it with the SLand HL dropdown next to the subject title. That dropdown appears only for subjects you have added to your account that are offered at both levels.

Ask us to add content

Content is written subject by subject and topic by topic, so telling us exactly what is missing is what moves it up the queue. Use theContact support button at the bottom of this page and include:

• the subject, and whether you take it at SL or HL
• which tab you are looking for, for example Flashcards orPast Papers
• the topic, if it is one topic rather than the whole subject

A real person reads it. We cannot promise a date for any particular subject, so treat it as a request rather than a booking.
