What Is AP Capstone?
AP Capstone is a two-year program that teaches skills in independent research, evidence-based argumentation, and formal presentation. It consists of:
- AP Seminar: Taken first, focuses on team and individual research projects and presentations
- AP Research: Taken second, involves a year-long independent research project culminating in a 4,000–5,000-word academic paper and oral defense

- AP Capstone Diploma: Earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP exams of your choice
