Where A Mutation Happens Decides Who It Affects

Mutations can occur in two kinds of cell:
1. Germ cells, which give rise to gametes (sperm and eggs).
2. Somatic cells, which make up the rest of the body.
The impact of a mutation depends on which type of cell it occurs in.
