About Sahil

Hey I'm Sahil! I'm an IB43 graduate, with 7s in my HLs Math AA, Physics and Chemistry, currently pursuing Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. My passion for engineering stems from my profound interest in problem solving through STEM subjects, and I constantly look for opportunities to promote and foster those who have similar interests. While outside the classroom I play lots of football and practice the martial arts, inside the classroom I adopt a much more calm, focused vibe. My lessons are tailored to each student's unique learning pattern, with a focus on tackling tricky concepts and approaching exam questions in an effective manner. I provide the same essential practice problems and revision material that got me where I am today. I aim to create a positive, encouraging and fun environment to help my students succeed. I'm looking forward to meeting you in lessons!

About your lesson

My lessons are suited to each student's learning style. I would start off by asking the student which topics they specifically face difficulties in and why is that so. I then work with the student to go through the concept step-by-step, in order for them to understand the core of the topic, which is important especially in sciences and maths. To gauge the student's understanding, I would then ask the student to solve a problem question from the topic, and then work through it myself to show them how I'd approach it. Through these steps, I effectively build a strong base of the concept for the student and show them efficient techniques to solve tricky exam problems on it.
