The driving question underpins the assessment of the whole exhibition. Your commentary addresses your chosen IA prompt, while the driving question helps you check whether the objects and explanations show knowledge in real contexts.
Descriptor language in your own prose is how a file starts arguing with its reader. If your commentary says a link is well explained, that sentence is spending words claiming what the next sentence is supposed to demonstrate. Cut the claim and give the space to the explanation.
As a study exercise, compare what the five levels say about links, then about justifications and contexts. Use the comparison to diagnose your writing; do not turn the features into separate scores or a checklist that promises a band.
Info
Check all three commentaries during revision. It is easy to keep polishing a passage you like while leaving another object's contribution unexplained. Work where the explanation or evidence needs attention.
Read your draft as though you had never encountered these objects. Can you identify the selected question about knowledge from the discussion, and can you follow each link? If not, locate what your explanation leaves unstated.
Use the instrument to locate the next useful revision. Find the passages that explain links, justify each object's contribution and support your points. Where you cannot locate an explanation, investigate what is missing before polishing the wording.
