Social reproduction
Social reproduction is the process by which social structures, inequalities, and cultural norms are perpetuated across generations through institutions such as the family and education. Pierre Bourdieu argued that educational systems reproduce existing class hierarchies by treating the cultural capital of dominant groups as inherently superior.
Socialization
Socialization is the broader process by which individuals learn and internalize the values, norms, and practices of their society, enabling them to function as members of a social group. Socialization can be empowering or constraining depending on its content and context.
