Beauty
Beauty: a quality attributed to objects, persons, or experiences that produces aesthetic pleasure, admiration, or a sense of perfection. Philosophically, the central debate concerns whether beauty is an objective property of things, a subjective response of the perceiver, or a culturally constructed category.
Taste (aesthetic)
Taste (aesthetic): the capacity to discern and appreciate beauty, quality, and aesthetic value. Philosophically, Hume argued that taste can be refined through practice and education, while Kant argued that judgements of taste claim universal validity despite being rooted in subjective feeling.
