National consciousness
a collective sense of shared identity, solidarity, and political purpose that emerges among colonized peoples through the experience of anti-colonial struggle. Fanon distinguishes authentic national consciousness, which he sees as forged through revolutionary practice and directed toward a new humanism, from narrow nationalism or the mere replacement of one ruling class with another.
Praxis
the unity of theoretical reflection and practical action, central to both Marxist and existentialist thought, through which human beings transform the world and, in doing so, transform themselves. In Fanon's work, revolutionary struggle is the paradigm case of praxis: simultaneously a political act and a process of psychological self-liberation.
