Popular Resistance: The Black Market, Exile, and Quiet Rebellion

Student and Intellectual Protest

1. Foreign exchange students and visiting academics occasionally served as informal conduits for restricted books, journals, and ideas that could not otherwise legally enter Cuba.

Popular Music and Cultural Subversion
