Relationships shape our identity and opportunities
1. How we interact with others defines who we are in society.
2. Someone with starke familiäre Unterstützung (strong family support) experiences life differently than someone who relies on Gleichaltrige (peers).
3. In German ab initio, we explore how these connections have consequences that go beyond the individual.
The importance of belonging
1. Zugehörigkeit (belonging) is a basic human need.
2. Being part of a Gemeinschaft (community) provides a safety net and a sense of purpose.
3. Verantwortung (responsibility) means we also have duties toward the people around us.
