Criteria StrandsPro
A.1Investigation aim and relevance
Excellent
A.2Theory/model description and connection
Excellent
A.3Hypothesis and variables
Excellent
Criteria Feedback
- The student's aim is clear, focused, and directly connected to the replicated study.
- The student explains why the investigation matters by linking it to learning and recall in an educational context.
- The student's hypothesis is testable because both variables are operationalized in concrete terms.
- The background description of the original study includes an internal inconsistency about the design.
- Some of the theory explanation could be more precise and more tightly connected to the exact replication.
- A brief extra sentence explaining why the hierarchy should improve recall would make the theoretical link stronger.

Good
Criteria Feedback
- The student clearly identifies the independent-measures design and the two comparison groups.
- The student explains why this design is suitable for the task by referring to practice and order effects.
- The student describes the sample and justifies the use of a convenience approach in practical terms.
- The explanation of how participants were assigned to groups is not clear enough.
- Some participant and material choices are described more than they are analytically justified.
- A few control variables are mentioned without fully explaining why they matter to the validity of the investigation.
