IB Psychology SL Internal Assessment Example

The investigation aim is clear, focused, and clearly linked to a real educational context.

The theory is described accurately and connected well to the research question.

The hypotheses identify the variables correctly and make the prediction testable.

The null hypothesis could be phrased even more consistently with the operational wording used in the method.

The conceptual link between the hypothesis wording and the later procedure could be made even tighter.

The independent-measures design is explained clearly and is suitable for the comparison being made.

Key controls such as timing, order, exposure, and setting are identified and justified.

The sampling method and participant group are described with some relevant detail.

The explanation of why this particular participant group is the best choice is not fully developed.

The age description is unclear, which weakens the clarity of the sample description.

Some procedural and materials details would benefit from a slightly more explicit justification of why they were the best available choices.
