IB Mathematics Applications & Interpretation (AI) SL Internal Assessment Example

You present a clear mathematical purpose and a workable two-stage structure for the investigation.

Your sections are generally well ordered and the key visuals are placed close to the relevant discussion.

Most of the content stays focused on the library-location problem and avoids major digressions.

Your overall line of argument is not fully consistent because the objective shifts between nearby ideas and is not always reconciled cleanly.

Some figures, captions, and table entries interrupt the flow and make the presentation less seamless than it could be.

There is repeated material across the synthesis, reflection, conclusion, and self-evaluation sections.

You use appropriate mathematical terms such as Voronoi diagram, perpendicular bisector, midpoint, and distance formula.

You include several useful representations, including labelled diagrams, tables of equations, and numerical comparisons.

Your final recommendation is stated clearly and can be located easily in the write-up.

Your mathematical language is sometimes inconsistent, especially when naming sites, cells, vertices, and locations.

Some notation and labels are not fully reliable because values and equations do not always match across tables and examples.

The diagrams help, but they are crowded and do not always allow the reader to verify the mathematics independently.
