IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches (AA) SL Internal Assessment Example

You present a clear overall structure with headings that guide the reader through the investigation.

Your figures, tables, and sections generally support the flow of the argument.

Most of the exploration stays focused on the modelling task and the research question.

Some labels and captions are inconsistent, which weakens polish and can confuse the reader.

There is some repetition that could be shortened.

A few parts of the final comparison would be clearer if the supporting evidence were presented more compactly and consistently.

You use appropriate modelling vocabulary such as residuals, regression, RMSE, continuity, and intervals.

You combine tables, graphs, equations, and written interpretation effectively for most of the exploration.

Your explanation is usually clear and mathematically readable.

Notation is not fully consistent throughout, especially around statistical symbols and model labels.

The piecewise section needs clearer and more carefully checked mathematical display.

Some worked steps are implied rather than shown, which reduces transparency.
