IB Digital Society (DS) HL Internal Assessment Example

You ask a clear, focused inquiry question that names a specific platform and a defined teenage audience.

You connect the question to relevant Digital Society concepts such as curation, engagement metrics, and recommendation systems.

The real-world example is still too narrow to fully support a deep inquiry.

The connection between the example and the course concepts is present but not yet developed in enough detail.

You discuss three sources and explain why each one is useful to the inquiry.

You evaluate credibility, limitations, and provenance rather than simply summarizing what the sources say.

You recognize that some sources offer indirect but still valuable evidence.

The discussion is somewhat one-sided and could engage more fully with contrasting perspectives.

Some source types are not distinguished carefully enough, which weakens the precision of the evaluation.

The comparison between sources is not always distinct enough, so the discussion can feel repetitive.
