IB Digital Society (DS) HL Internal Assessment Example

You state a clear inquiry question that is evaluative rather than purely descriptive.

You anchor the investigation in a specific real-world example, which makes the focus concrete.

You connect the topic to relevant course concepts and a business/economic context.

The question is still broad and would be stronger if it were narrowed to a more precise case and impact.

The explanation of how the concept connects to the case is only partly developed.

The link between the example and the wider inquiry focus needs a clearer mechanism and scope.

You identify the main claim of each source and show why it matters to your inquiry.

You include three sources, which gives your discussion a base for comparison.

You make some effort to justify usefulness by linking each source to the topic of digital communication and economic consequences.

The discussion is still largely descriptive and does not consistently evaluate perspective, authority, or bias.

The usefulness of each source is not developed equally, and some links to the inquiry remain general rather than analytical.

The relationship between corroboration and independent evidence needs clearer distinction.
