IB Digital Society (DS) HL Internal Assessment Example

You chose a relevant and meaningful topic linked to a real Digital Society issue.

You made some initial connections to course ideas such as health, systems, power, ethics, algorithms, and personalization.

Your focus is written as a topic statement rather than a clearly focused inquiry question.

The real-world example is too broad to serve as a tight case study.

Several course links are mentioned but not fully explained in relation to the example.

You discuss three sources rather than only naming them.

You identify several useful claims about gambling marketing, youth vulnerability, normalization, online communities, and regulation.

You include some awareness of limitation in at least one source.

The discussion is mostly summary rather than a clear comparison of perspectives.

You do not consistently explain why each source is useful for answering the specific inquiry.

The different methods, scopes, and limitations of the sources are not explored in enough depth.
